A computer's performance can be affected by various issues. The hard drive can be clogged up with temporary files and other useless data, the registry might be too fragmented, or the system may be infected with malware. MyTurboPC comes with a solution for each of these problems. It offers a consistent number of tools to clean up your hard drive and registry, remove malware and make various settings to speed up your computer.

The installation procedure is simple, even for novice users. You can opt for a default installation or a custom one, if you want to create a desktop shortcut, get updates or set the program to launch automatically at system startup. MyTurboPC is compatible with 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 and it requires at least 2 GB of RAM and a processor of 1 GHz or better.

The software can scan your computer for registry problems, malware, junk files, as well as performance and privacy protection issues. What's more, it can perform these scans, one after another, in a single run. If you want to scan and fix something specific, you can choose which scans to perform or not, on the program's Overview page. When you start scanning, MyTurboPC will take you to the System Scan page immediately. Each scanning process is listed with a short description, the number of detected problems and a color coded bar, which illustrates the damage level.

You can choose what registry sections to scan, target specific temporary file extensions or choose which privacy settings to scan, on the software' general settings page. Besides scanning and fixing, MyTurboPC is capable of creating and using system restore points. It provides a list of restore points, created by the system itself and it lets you remove them as well, to free up some disk space.

A series of useful utilities can be found on the Tools page. MyTurboPC includes different managers, for processes, startup programs, browser helper objects, file extensions and you can find a disk defragmentation feature as well. The file extension manager may come in very useful. If you come across an unknown extension, you can use this manager to look it up. The software will provide you with a list of applications which you can use to open the file in question. The list includes ratings, links for information and download buttons for each application.
